Our Goal

Our goal is to become the go-to breeder of Savanna goats in California and the Northwest.  Most Savanna herds are located in the northeast, the southeast, the midwest and Texas.   Our goal is production of Savannas that:

  • have a docile temperament – see them moving between pastures with Jill and Curry (our livestock guardian dog) in the video above
  • forage well on brush – they hold their weight while foraging on chaparral that grows on the Sierra Nevada foothills (see video above)
  • contribute to wildfire mitigation – our fuel load is reduced to manageable levels
  •  produce vigorous kids
  • are disease resistant
  • have excellent meat quality
  • are prolific breeders
